This role involves working under limited supervision to assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia. Key Responsibilities of the Anesthesia Technician

• Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready and clean.
• Operate the cell-saver machine and participate in advanced surgical cases.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment is in working order and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist in staff training and development under the Chief Anesthesia Technologist.
• Perform comprehensive anesthesia equipment set-up and troubleshooting.
• Set-up operating rooms and provide full service at end of the day.
• Provide back-up support to the shift supervisor as needed.

Requirements of the Anesthesia Technician

• BLS certification
• Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician
• Preferred: Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists or other certifying body
