Key Responsibilities: As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will: Assess, Diagnose, and Treat: Work with children, adolescents, adults, and elders to provide comprehensive mental health care. Prescribe Medications: Utilize your expertise to manage treatment plans in accordance with Alaska’s Nurse Practice Act. Collaborate: Partner with counselors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic client care. Document Care: Ensure timely and accurate medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and billing entries. Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate the latest best practices in mental health care. Engage with Families: Communicate with guardians and significant others when appropriate, fostering a supportive network for your clients. Order Tests: Utilize diagnostic tests to monitor client progress and treatment effectiveness. Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you will need: A Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatry/mental health. An unencumbered license to practice as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Alaska. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. A valid DEA number and no exclusions from federal health care programs. Strong documentation skills and experience navigating electronic health records. Work Location: You must be willing to commute or relocate This is an In-person position in Kenai, AK **Relocation assistance options may be available Compensation and Benefits: Competitive Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
