Who We’re Looking For

Hood Container Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator to run Printing and/or Die Cutting Machines on 2nd and 3rd shifts at our Winston Salem facility. If you have corrugated industry experience , are mechanically inclined , detail-oriented , and thrive in a fast-paced production environment , we’d love to have you on our team!

What You’ll Do

Operate printing machine or die-cutters safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.
Set up, adjust, and monitor the die-cutting process according to job specifications.
Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and conformance with customer requirements.
Troubleshoot and correct minor mechanical issues with minimal downtime.
Communicate machine performance issues to maintenance or supervision as needed.
Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
Assist in changeovers and clean-up to maintain machine efficiency and product quality.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.
1–2 years of machine operator experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience operating printing and die-cutting equipment (Bobst preferred) is a strong plus .

Technical Skills:

Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with basic computer systems and data entry for production tracking.

Physical & Work Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Work in a fast-paced, noisy, industrial environment with varying temperatures.
Must be able to work 3rd shift (typically 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and overtime as needed.
