Process Operator I

Schedule: Rotating 12‑hour shifts, 3–4 days a week. Availability to work holidays and weekends is required. Hourly Rate: $27.11 per hour Job Type: Contract, Full‑time Benefits Vacation: Accrual of 2 weeks starting the first of the month after hire Holidays: 10 designated + 1 floating Medical: Two plan options, including one with a Health Savings Account (HSA) and another with a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Dental and Vision: Available Life Insurance: Company‑provided, with optional additional coverage for employee, partner, and dependents Disability Insurance: Employer‑provided 401(k) Plan: 100% company match on the first 6% of employee contributions What you will do Operate mechanized equipment safely and efficiently Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues Monitor operations via control room systems Sample and test products for quality assurance Load/unload trucks, railcars, and containers Pack, inspect, and handle various packaging formats Transfer product between tanks as needed Maintain inventory and cleanliness of equipment Handle chemicals safely and according to protocols What you will bring High school diploma or GED (required) Ability to read, write, and speak English Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Computer literacy; SAP experience is a plus Mechanical/problem‑solving skills (preferred) Knowledge of GMP and food safety (a plus) Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification (required) Who you are Effective communication and teamwork abilities Adaptability to rotating shifts and willingness to work overtime as needed Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety standards Ingredion is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
