As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Field Verification in Chicago, IL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $20.80 / Hour Job Schedule: Saturday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting. Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned healthcare facility areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, helping to support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, observations, and completed patrol activities. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security supervisor/manager experience, or three years of security experience. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
