Conducts inventories and other tasks associated with property accountability including life cycle replacement, distribution, and disposal of army equipment. Appointed as a purchasing officer for the command, to purchase supplies and services using the Government Purchase Card (GPC). Serves as the primary POC with all staff sections, for matters related to the Financial Liability Investigation Property Loss(FLIPL). Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying knowledge of automated supply system, policies and work methods to accomplish actions; 2) Applying knowledge of the procedures for processing the various supply transactions to include special handling and the flow of work through the supply process; and 3) Applying knowledge of supply functions to include receipt, handling, storage, issue, control, maintenance, inventory, security and other technical supply functions including terminology associated with the items of equipment utilized by the unit. 4) Utilizing supply automated systems, such as Government Purchase Card (GPC) to order and track supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
