Faculty Recruitment and Special Appointments Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Faculty Services Operations, the incumbent oversees faculty recruitment, special appointments, and evaluation processes in SaaS platforms such as eFaculty, OnBase, CHRS Recruiting, and CHRS. The incumbent is the specialist for tenure‑track faculty recruitment processes and supports temporary faculty recruitment. They manage the Pre‑Retirement Reduction in Time Base (PRTB) and Faculty Early Retirement Program (FERP) from eligibility communication, appointment, to exit, and track campus staff with department chair, GRIF, Emeritus, and other unique faculty appointments. They are also responsible for faculty sabbatical and DIP leave reviews, liaising to track faculty on other leaves. The role involves handling sensitive confidential data, communicating with faculty, department chairs, deans, and the Office of the Provost, and ensuring end‑to‑end service for reviews. The incumbent applies standards to determine employment qualifications, advises on rank and salary, provides case data to CSU Management and General Counsel for grievances, and reports aggregate data for the University. They maintain compliance with faculty and Academic Student Employees’ Collective Bargaining Agreements, systemwide policies, University Policies, CSU guidelines, and government regulations. The incumbent troubleshoots cases with team members, serves as backup for other duties, and maintains ownership of all major FS division responsibilities. The position may also collect and report confidential data for bargaining and grievances.
