Qualifications Valid Michigan RN license Minimum of at least one year OB / Labor and Delivery experience BLS, ACLS, NRP and TEAMS certification (all are available through Hillsdale Hospital) Responsibilities Taking vitals for the mom and baby Administering medication Monitoring contractions and coaching the mom during labor and delivery Identifying any complications during labor and delivery Communicating the mom’s condition and needs to the physician Caring for the mom after she gives birth Performing newborn testing and care Collect and analyze assessment data, identify appropriate nursing diagnosis lists, and create individualized plan of care Monitor patients’ conditions and maintain accurate, detailed and confidential reports and records Evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care Participate in unit specific/hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assist with activities that enhance quality of nursing practices Benefits New RN employees are eligible for a student loan payment up to $5,250 Paid Time Off: vacation, holidays Retirement: 403(b) with match Education assistance and continuing education - many courses offered on-site at the hospital Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
