Outside Parts Sales Representative

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing company representing Mack Trucks along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the On Highway, Construction and Agriculture Industry. TranSource Truck & Equipment is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Outside Parts Sales Representative to join our growing team! Position Summary: The Outside Parts Sales Representative is responsible for actively seeking out and developing new and existing customer relationships within the truck and heavy equipment industries. This role involves identifying customer needs, providing expert parts solutions, and achieving sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be the primary point of contact for your assigned territory, building strong, long-lasting partnerships. Responsibilities: Sales Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory, including cold calling, networking, and following up on leads. Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their businesses and anticipating their parts needs. Customer Needs Assessment: Conduct on-site visits to assess customer equipment, understand their operational challenges, and recommend appropriate parts solutions. Parts Knowledge: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of truck parts, including various makes, models, and applications. Quoting and Pricing: Prepare accurate and competitive parts quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales orders. Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery. Problem Solving: Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide technical support related to parts. Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new product offerings. Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records, track progress against goals, and provide regular reports to management. Collaboration: Work closely with internal sales, service, and parts departments to ensure a seamless customer experience. Territory Management: Effectively manage and prioritize sales activities within the assigned geographic territory. Requirements A track record of proven experience in outside parts sales, preferably within the truck and heavy equipment industries. Strong knowledge of truck and heavy equipment parts, terminology, and applications. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to travel within the assigned territory. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field. Established network of contacts within the truck and heavy equipment industry in the Rapid City area.
