Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering relevant diagnostic tests, and creating personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently (depending on your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and families regarding wellness, prevention, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
