Position Summary The Program Director serves as a key member of The BELIEVE Accelerator leadership team, responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programming that accelerates scholar achievement, college and career readiness, leadership development, and postsecondary success. This role bridges vision and execution by ensuring that all programmatic components align with BELIEVE's mission to prepare scholars for success in college, career, and life. The Program Director leads the strategic coordination of academic enrichment, workforce development, internships, apprenticeships, college and career exploration, student leadership initiatives, and community partnerships. This individual develops systems that drive measurable outcomes while ensuring every scholar experiences high‑quality, relevant, and transformative opportunities. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker, relationship builder, and results‑driven leader who believes deeply in the limitless potential of young people and is committed to creating pathways that expand access, opportunity, and economic mobility. Essential Responsibilities Program Leadership & Strategic Planning Lead the vision, design, implementation, and evaluation of BELIEVE Accelerator programming. Develop annual goals, strategic priorities, and key performance indicators aligned to organizational objectives. Create systems to monitor program quality, scholar participation, and outcome attainment. Collaborate with school leadership to ensure Accelerator initiatives support academic and postsecondary success. Manage program budgets, grants, incentives, stipends, and resources. Supervise, coach, and evaluate program staff, coordinators, interns, and external partners. College, Career & Workforce Development Oversee all college and career readiness programming for scholars. Lead the development and implementation of internships, apprenticeships, work‑based learning experiences, and career pathways. Coordinate partnerships with colleges, universities, employers, industry leaders, and workforce organizations. Ensure scholars have access to career exploration, credentialing opportunities, financial literacy education, and professional skill development. Monitor scholar participation and outcomes related to workforce and postsecondary readiness. Scholar Experience & Leadership Development Design and implement scholar leadership programs that foster agency, responsibility, and civic engagement. Coordinate scholar enrichment opportunities including excursions, summer programs, conferences, and special events. Create systems that encourage scholar voice, feedback, and ownership of their learning and career pathways. Monitor engagement trends and implement interventions to improve participation and retention. Partnership & Community Engagement Serve as the primary liaison for community organizations, higher education institutions, employers, and external service providers. Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships that expand opportunities for scholars. Coordinate partnership agreements, program logistics, and performance expectations. Represent The BELIEVE Accelerator at community meetings, workforce initiatives, conferences, and stakeholder events. Develop opportunities for families and community members to engage in scholar success initiatives. Data, Accountability & Continuous Improvement Establish systems to track scholar participation, program outcomes, internship placements, certifications, and postsecondary success indicators. Analyze program data and develop reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with grant requirements, partnership agreements, and organizational expectations. Lead continuous improvement cycles to evaluate effectiveness and drive innovation. Utilize data to inform strategic decisions and improve scholar outcomes. Family Engagement & Communication Design and implement communication systems that keep families informed and engaged. Facilitate family workshops focused on college access, career readiness, financial literacy, and workforce opportunities. Build strong relationships with families to support scholar persistence and success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience in education, youth development, workforce development, college access, or a related field. Demonstrated experience managing programs, partnerships, and teams. Strong project management, organizational, and strategic planning skills. Experience using data to drive decision‑making and program improvement. Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder engagement skills. Commitment to educational equity and expanding opportunities for historically underserved students.
