Today, more than 70 years later, ArmaFlex continues to be a pillar of Armacell's success.The Production Planner is a key member of the Mebane team reporting to the Plant Supply Chain Manager. The Production Planner role is responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, managing the service level, costs and inventories for products that run on production lines. The planner works closely with the other production planners, the raw materials manager, suppliers, manufacturing, the distribution center, and customer service personnel as necessary. This position is responsible for balancing customer service, inventory levels within inventory turn targets, and the efficient utilization of production/distribution facilities, manpower and working capital in assigned areas.What Armacell can offer youHealthcare benefits including medical & prescription drug coverage, dental, vision, and mental health & wellbeing.Financial programs such as 401(k), life insurance, short & long-term disability coverage, and opportunities for performance-based salary incentive programs.Paid time off including 12 holidays and generous PTO.Training and educational resources on our personalized learning management system.Giving & volunteer opportunities, and discounts on retail products, services & experiences.Job ResponsibilitiesCreate and publish weekly production plans for manufacturing linesProvide 6-8 week planning horizons to support production line plans and raw material requirementsMaintain planning and inventory parameters that optimize SAP to provide best in class resultsCollaborate with Customer Service, Planning, Procurement and inventory control to service the customers with the best availability dates possiblePeriodically review and update SAP master data tables, particularly ABC class and safety stock settings and throughput rates for capacity planningCommunicate with Customer Service when orders will not be delivered as expectedKnowledgeable with SAP / AIMS / Advise software and creation of Process OrdersWork with the Sales Team and Production to create new production items and set them up in SAPActively pursue continuous improvement and support company initiatives, such as World Class Armacell Mindset (WAM)Provide reports that gauge the overall health of these business segmentsManage inventory levels to meet targets, including participation in and management of cycle count activitiesJob Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Accounting or related field or equivalent level of knowledge typically gained by 5+ years' practical job experience in a similar role2-5 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment requiredAbility to excel in a cross-cultural, global team environmentPossesses professional written and verbal communication skillsPossesses strong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of SAP and Advise/Mesabi is preferredAbility to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsSolid understanding of statistical process control and world class manufacturing techniquesKnowledge of rubber processing: mixing, curing, extrusion, and foamingProven experience in creating effective technical solutionsProven experience in project management and risk managementPosting Dates August 25, 2026 - September 9, 2026The expected compensation range for this role is $75,000.00 -$90,000.00.
