Accounting Assistant – Entry Level

About the Role

The Agents Companies is growing and looking for an Entry-Level Accounting Assistant to support our accounting and finance team at our corporate office in Indian Trail, NC.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is early in their accounting career, currently pursuing a degree, or looking to gain hands-on accounting experience in a professional environment. We offer flexibility with scheduling, with a maximum of 30 hours per week .

You’ll work alongside our accounting team and gain practical experience with day-to-day accounting functions, financial records, inventory, and QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and categorize credit card transactions in QuickBooks
• Input inventory information and assist with reconciling inventory records
• Record and reconcile bank deposits
• Assist with account reconciliations and general accounting tasks
• Help maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Assist the accounting team with projects, documentation, and other tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus, but not required
• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is helpful, but not required
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus; training can be provided
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and computer systems
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Schedule

This is a part-time, on-site position with a flexible schedule of up to 30 hours per week . We are open to working with the right candidate to establish a schedule that works well for both the employee and our accounting team.
