Responsibilities

• Perform detailed technical design and development of data‑intensive capabilities using existing and emerging technologies.
• Use modern technologies centered on data and analytics to ensure that the Firm provides clients with powerful tools to improve cash flow management efficiency.
• Develop, test, rollout, and support data platform features and contribute to the vision, roadmap, and world‑class engineering culture while integrating business value and client experience.
• Develop big data capabilities in support of the business.
• Act as subject matter expert for Snowflake Data Warehouse and be responsible for data and entitlement modeling and ingress and data derivation using ETL solutions such as Apache Airflow and Apache Spark.
• Build completeness and accuracy checks on various datasets prior to firmwide data store ingestion to adhere to the firm’s compliance policy.
• Work on stream data processing and perform data tooling to enable self‑service capabilities of the Corporate Cash Management (CCM) Business Intelligence platform.
• Build and leverage AWS X‑RAY, CloudWatch, and Datadog metrics to monitor production applications.
• Support data federation with internal Operations, Compliance, and accounting teams using the Firm’s proprietary programming languages, platforms, and models.
• Provide global production support for critical applications for the TxB Data Platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and help expand the engineering team by interviewing, recruiting, and hiring new engineers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in a software engineering role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in one of the same fields and five (5) years of experience in a software engineering role.
• Three (3) years with a Master’s or five (5) years with a Bachelor’s degree in: building systems using Object Oriented Programming languages; implementing control‑driven Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using GitHub or GitLab, CI/CD principles, and automation pipelines; utilizing programming skills to analyze, design, develop, and support enterprise application development utilizing Python, Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka.
• Architecting, designing, administering, or developing safe, resilient, and highly available distributed services in Amazon Web Services based on business, tech risk and compliance, and controls requirements; designing data models for enterprise applications, managing data, and writing advanced complex queries against relational databases including aggregations, multi‑row subqueries and views; building scalable APIs using Spring Boot, REST services, GraphQL, and relational databases for data processing, data modeling, and tuning database queries and data pipelines.
• Delivering ETL, development of database objects, SQL queries, and data analytic capabilities in relational database platforms; designing and developing solutions with modern data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake Data Warehouse, Cassandra, Oracle, or Postgres.
• Two (2) years of experience with distributed systems development, utilizing high‑throughput, low‑latency messaging platforms for building scalable data pipelines (e.g., Kafka); building ETL processes using Airflow, Flink, or Spark; building observability features using services such as AWS CloudWatch or Datadog; and documenting functional architecture and diagrams based on business requirements.
