IDS Pharmacist

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will compound and dispense prescribed drugs per physician's instructions within a healthcare facility setting. This role involves consulting with medical staff about potential drug interactions and patient medical history, responding to patient questions about medications, and ensuring all pharmacy data is recorded and maintained in compliance with regulatory and security procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Compound and dispense prescribed drugs according to physician instructions.
• Consult with medical staff on potential drug interactions, patient history, and medication use.
• Respond to questions from patients regarding medications and dosage instructions.
• Ensure all required pharmacy data is accurately recorded and maintained.
• Comply with all regulatory, security, and hospital procedures.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy is required.

Licensure & Certifications: Applicants must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross for Healthcare Providers is also required.

Experience: A consistent and stable job history is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy residency.
• Previous experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience in Investigational Drug Services (IDS).
• Multiple years of professional experience as a pharmacist.
