Staff Accountant, Senior

We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant-Commercial to partner with our Assistant Controller in ensuring timely and accurate accounting and financial records for a portfolio of commercial and residential entities. This in-office role at our Calabasas corporate office is a great opportunity for a skilled professional to grow their career. Salary range for this position is $48-53/per hr. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as the candidate's experience and qualifications. What You will do Manage commercial/residential property accounting, reporting, and reconciliations. Preparation of monthly budget variance reports/explanations. Prepare journal entries, variance reports, owner draws, and financial reports. Monitor cash balances, disbursements, deposits, and debt payments. Prepare tax filings, projections, property tax payments, and 1099 support. Partner with property managers, accounting staff, owners, lenders, and investors. Track all common area expenses incurred. Preparation of common area maintenance reconciliations and tenant bill-backs. Assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of operational accounting policies and procedures for the commercial properties. What You Bring: Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in property management accounting, specifically commercial/residential or a similar specialized environment. Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Yardi Voyager or property management software, and Microsoft Office. Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaborate effectively with team members. Time Management: Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
