Clinical Nurse - ENDOSCOPY Department: PCH-MAIN | Surgery East Location: Phoenix Shift: Mon‑Fri, Days, 6:30am-5pm Category: Nursing Posting #: 1020417 Employee Type: Full-Time Position Summary Phoenix Children’s is seeking an experienced Endoscopy/Procedural Nurse for our outpatient Aerodigestive team. The role involves performing and assisting with procedures such as EGD, Bronchoscopies, Colonoscopies, ERCP, Pill Cams, and Impedances. Nurses can choose between five 8‑hour days or four 10‑hour days and may be called in for night and weekend shifts on a rotating schedule. Responsibilities Complete nursing assessments of patients based on age and condition, incorporating physical, psychological, social, developmental, and educational factors. Continuously evaluate patient responses to care, education, and discharge plans; document progress in charts and share findings with the healthcare team and families. Ensure compliance with medication, storage, and documentation standards, regulations, and hospital requirements. Provide orientation to the unit, hospital systems, and processes for patients and family members. Supervise assigned team members, delegate tasks appropriately, and provide timely feedback to maintain patient safety and quality of care. Collaborate with the patient‑care team and families to develop and implement coordinated care plans, participate in rounds and conferences as needed. Model best practices and mentor students and new employees through clinical instruction and knowledge sharing. Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested. Qualifications Education Requirements Two‑year (ADN), four‑year (BSN), or diploma nursing degree. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or enrollment in a RN‑to‑BSN program. Licensure & Certification Current state of Arizona RN license or a compact RN license with Arizona privileges (or ability to obtain before start). Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. Advanced Pediatric Life Support certification (required). Physical Requirements Feel and perceive textures and temperatures constantly. Use fine motor skills (pinching, gripping, etc.) constantly. Heard, push, pull, reach, walk, and talk constantly. Standing frequently; stooping/crouching/kneeling/crawling frequently. Occasional sitting and occasional lifting more than 35 pounds; lift up to 35 pounds frequently. Use of keyboard, mouse, and computer equipment constantly. Near and far vision constantly; color discrimination frequently. Occupational Exposure & Risk Inside office environment.
