Program Coordinator - Youth Development

Description Under the supervision of the Youth Development Director, the Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Youth Development branch program, Y Achievers. The incumbent will also develop and implement program curriculum, oversee all part‑time staff, schedule activities, and provide program instruction. Essential Functions Serve as a professional role model for youth enrolled in the program. Oversee program development, scheduling, registration, and evaluation. Ensure thorough and timely communication to registrants before and during programming, and communicate necessary information to branch and association staff. Cultivate relationships with parents and members to develop quality programs consistent with the mission and values. Identify collaborative efforts to utilize facilities and services with local schools and organizations. Identify program opportunities and sources of funding. Consistently provide friendly, courteous assistance that exceeds customer expectations, building and maintaining professional relationships with customers, staff, host agencies, and the local community. Support and contribute to a safe, clean environment for staff and customers. Attend all branch and Metropolitan meetings as assigned. Maintain knowledge of association policies and procedures, risk management and safety practices, and applicable laws. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field of study. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in programming. Staff supervision experience preferred. Experience in developing and implementing youth programs preferred. Physical ability to instruct a class when the assigned instructor is unavailable. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must possess or attain CPR/AED certification within 60 days.
