Position Summary Statement The Manager, Multimedia Production leads visual storytelling across platforms as a part of Strathmore’s Communications & Marketing team. This role is responsible for capturing, producing, and managing high-quality video and photography that elevate Strathmore’s brand, increase revenue and attendance, document performances and programs, and engage diverse audiences. The ideal candidate combines strong creative vision with hands‑on production expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments. Creative Production, Design, & Storytelling (50%) Plan, capture, and edit quality video and photo content for performances, education programs, artist features, fundraising, and institutional storytelling. Write, produce, direct, and edit short- and long‑form video content for web, social media, email, advertising, and on‑site use. Translate brand and communications strategies into compelling visual narratives that help advance a variety of goals for earned revenue, contributed revenue, and brand growth. Produce graphics, materials, and designs for use in digital and print materials. Ensure consistent visual style, tone, and quality across all multimedia assets. Content Strategy & Project Management (30%) Advise the team on how best to use multimedia solutions to support/advance institutional objectives. Lead the end‑to‑end production process, including concept development, scripting, scheduling, filming, post‑production, feedback management, and delivery. Track, evaluate, and interpret multi‑media data to determine success and refine strategies. In collaboration with colleagues, manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creative quality with deadlines and budget considerations. Hire and oversee the work of other photographers and videographers. Archive & Asset Management (10%) Maintain and organize Strathmore’s digital photo and video archives, ensuring proper metadata, labeling, storage, and accessibility. Establish and refine systems and best practices for asset management, retention, and usage rights. Track releases, permissions, and licensing for artists, audiences, and collaborators. Leadership & Collaboration (10%) Serve as the organization’s subject‑matter expert on multimedia best practices and emerging trends. Oversee freelance videographers, content creators, photographers, and editors as needed. Collaborate effectively with external vendors, agencies, and artists. Contribute to communications and marketing big picture planning and proactively recommend new storytelling approaches and technologies.
