Production SupervisorWe offer:Longevity Bonus7 Paid HolidaysSign on Bonus401 K after a 1 yearInsurance after 60 daysSummary:The Production Supervisor is responsible for the processing & packaging of finished baked goods as well as ensuring the accuracy of processes to meet the product specification, will guide and direct general production employees as well as crème pump and tray loader operators.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinates, controls and verifies the activities related to the finished product packaging process to comply with the product requirementsFollow up on the established maintenance programs to guarantee the proper functioning of the equipment in order to avoid breakdowns or deteriorationControl and follow up on activities related to quality and the sanitation plan to guarantee compliance with the requirements and food safetyReviews production schedules to establish product data hourly.Oversees the inspections of cookie appearance, product codes, dates, package weights, size, etc.Oversees the training of all new employees to perform their job safely, explain expected work standards for each position and assign an experienced employee to be their "mentor" for at least one week.Notify supervisor of any safety violations as well as operational, manufacturing and/or maintenance problems to prevent operational delays and reduce downtime.Enforce standard operational and work practices by observing co-workers to ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards/GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices).Direct and coordinates the activities of assigned employees including planning and establishing work schedules and assignments during regular shift hours, changeovers, downtime, etc.Confer with other managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departmentsSupport the organization's safety initiatives to ensure a safe environment for all of the facility's employees and guestsProvide appropriate feedback to staffResponsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area at all timesCommunicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contactsAccept and adapt easily to changeEnsure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission StatementOperate job-related equipment with or without an accommodationMeet physical demands of job with or without an accommodationPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned task satisfactorily.
