Environmental Sanitor duties include disassembling and cleaning, sanitizing and reassembling all detachable production equipment. Applying various chemicals on different equipment, as well as in environmental locations. Organizing and cleaning of kitchen, trash dock, and storage areas. Transporting of racks, tubs, cardboard, and equipment to specific areas which will include the use of a forklift and or pallet jack. Maintaining the cleanliness of walls, vents, doors, drains, and garbage cans. Working with multiple departments to meet their sanitation needs organizing air and water hoses. Rinsing out all empty drums. Helping maintain chemical storage area. Operating and maintaining floor scrubber. Helping with housekeeping duties where needed and other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include being at least 18 years old, able to push or pull heavy equipment, obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift, demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), demonstrate safe working habits, lift in excess of 30 pounds frequently, possess general knowledge of machine operation, use creative thinking for troubleshooting, work in a fast-paced environment, have good human relations skills, work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, have excellent attendance and punctuality, assist other team members in other areas, perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time, work efficiently with little or no supervision, follow detailed written and verbal instructions, communicate effectively, show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and have a commitment to Publix and our mission.

Hours of work are 10:00pm- 6:30am; rotating days of the week. The work environment includes temperatures ranging from 70 to 90+ degrees. Wet and slippery.

Pay is weekly with a minimum base pay of $16.80 and a maximum base pay of $23.20. Potential annual base pay ranges from $34,944 to $48,256. There is also a year-end bonus to reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year. Other compensation information includes a $2.00 per hour weekend differential and a $.75 per hour night differential.
