Quality Technician I - 3rd shift

Responsibilities Perform daily testing of all raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with established SOPs. Assure product conformance to specifications. Conduct sensory, refractive index, brix, pH, turbidity, HPLC/GC, particle size testing, colorimetry, viscosity, density, water activity, manual titration, and other assigned tests. Analyze data and produce detailed reports noting relevant specification information. Take microbial samples and maintain a sterile/clean environment throughout the process. Sample incoming raw materials for analysis, including lifting up to 50lbs repeatedly. Create COAs, prepare micro samples, calibrate laboratory equipment, and maintain production and quality records to ensure compliance. File raw material and finished product records and retains. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while keeping the environment safe, neat, and clean. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science/Technology, or a related business field. At least 2 years of quality control laboratory experience applied comprehensively and hands‑on. Previous flavor industry experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Requirements High school diploma or GED with 2‑5 years of inspection or manufacturing experience. Experience with HACCP, FSP, ISO22000, SQF, BRC, or equivalent GFSI criteria. Experience with QC instruments such as pH meters, refractometers, densitometers, colorimeters, GC, water activity meters, and turbidimeters. Ability to analyze and interpret information. Excellent organization and priority‑setting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Discern sensory differences between tested flavors and flavor chemicals. Compensation & Shift Starting hourly rate: $20.00/hr (additional compensation may apply based on experience). 3rd shift shift differential pay eligible Monday‑Friday 11pm‑7am.
