Job Description Material Handler City of Industry, CA - Turnbull Canyon location Compensation Includes Starting Pay Rate of $21.51 - $24.76/hour Available Shift 1st Overview The Material Handler will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within our facility. Responsibilities Assist in material handling tasks such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials Learn to operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks under the supervision of experienced team members Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all team members Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and manage workflow effectively Assist in inventory management by accurately counting, labeling, and recording materials Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and address any concerns Handle materials with care to prevent damage and ensure quality standards are met Perform general warehouse duties such as cleaning and organizing work areas as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent No prior experience required, willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting Strong work ethic and attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely Physical Requirements Requirements include, but are not limited to (all times are approximate): Sitting (1-2 hours) Standing (Constantly - 12 hours or more) Walking (Constantly 12 hours or more) Lifting (Regularly/Constantly) Carrying (Regularly/Constantly) Pushing (Often - 8-10 hours or more) Pulling, Twisting, Climbing (Often - each 8-10 hours) Balancing (Regularly/Constantly) Stooping, Kneeling, Crawling (Often - each 1-3 hours) Reaching, Grasping, Repetitive Motions (Regularly/Constantly each 8-10 hours) Company Benefits What You'll Get From Us Benefits With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
