Foreman

A well-established mechanical contractor specializing in new construction, service, and retrofit projects across commercial, healthcare, mission-critical, and institutional facilities is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Foreman to lead field operations on active job sites. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering quality installations on time and on budget. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate day-to-day field activities for HVAC, piping, and mechanical installation crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to spec. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and submittals to plan sequencing, manpower, and material needs on-site. Manage crew productivity, scheduling, and daily manpower allocation to keep the project on track and within budget. Act as the primary point of contact between field crews, Project Managers, and other trades to resolve conflicts and maintain project momentum. Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce OSHA compliance and company safety standards across the jobsite. Track and report progress, labor hours, material usage, and any field changes or delays to project leadership. Train, mentor, and support the development of journeymen and apprentices within the crew. Coordinate material deliveries, tool/equipment needs, and quality control inspections throughout each phase of construction. Ideal Candidate Will Have: 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction, with prior experience in a Foreman or Lead role. Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC, piping, and/or plumbing systems installation. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Proven leadership skills with experience supervising crews of varying size. OSHA 10/30 certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced field environment. Experience on commercial, healthcare, or mission-critical/data center projects is a plus.
