Transactional Attorney

Business Law Group, in downtown Colorado Springs, is seeking an experienced transactional business attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience and be able to manage their own caseload, with our mentoring, collaboration, and assistance. Knowledge of tax law as it relates to LLCs, S corporation, business sales and acquisitions, and other general business transactions would be helpful. Duties Forming new LLCs and S corporations Drafting complex LLC Operating Agreements and Shareholder Agreements Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts Negotiating, drafting, and completing due diligence for asset purchase agreements Conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis Drafting other business legal documents Provide legal advice and guidance to clients Tracking and entering billable time Handling administrative tasks related to cases Billable hour expectation is 1,500 hours per year Experience and Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Admission to the Colorado bar Excellent attention to detail and an ability to drive projects to completion Proven experience in legal drafting, negotiation, and business transactional work Strong research and writing skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Minimum 2 years of legal practice (Required) Relocation Colorado Springs, CO 80903: Relocate before starting work (Required) Job Type Full-time Pay $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year Benefits We offer competitive pay and benefits including medical and dental insurance, 401(k), paid time‑off and holiday time, CLE, bar dues, free parking, etc. 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off #J-18808-Ljbffr
