About the Role:
Southwest Veterinary Dermatology in Houston, TX is looking for a friendly and organized Veterinary Clinic Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our specialty practice. Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive front desk experience
• Schedule and confirm appointments for veterinary dermatology consultations and follow-ups
• Answer multi-line phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to clinical staff
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently
• Process payments, invoices, and pet insurance claims
• Maintain and update electronic medical records and client information
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with primary care veterinary offices
• Support the clinical team with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or specialty practice preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy, specialty clinic environment
• Compassionate and calm demeanor when handling stressed pets and anxious pet owners
• Basic understanding of veterinary terminology is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
