JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Program Manager / Scrum Master

Experience Required: 15+ Years

1. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager cum Scrum Master with 15+ years of IT experience and strong expertise in Agile delivery, program management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional team leadership .

The role is responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, facilitating Agile ceremonies, ensuring predictable execution, managing risks and dependencies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across multiple Scrum teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing complex programs, working with business and technology stakeholders, enabling Agile best practices, and ensuring successful delivery outcomes across distributed teams.

2. Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Driving end-to-end program delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Managing program planning, execution, tracking, and governance.
• Facilitating Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Acting as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams.
• Removing impediments and enabling teams to deliver efficiently.
• Managing risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies across programs.
• Coordinating with Product Owners, business stakeholders, engineering teams, QA teams, and leadership.
• Ensuring sprint goals, release milestones, and delivery commitments are tracked and achieved.
• Preparing executive dashboards, program status reports, and delivery metrics.
• Supporting release planning, release readiness, and production coordination.
• Driving Agile maturity, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability.
• Facilitating decision-making, conflict resolution, and stakeholder alignment.
• Ensuring adherence to Agile principles, delivery governance, and organizational standards.

3. Mandatory Skills

3.1 Program Management

The candidate must have strong experience in managing complex IT programs from initiation to delivery.

3.2 Agile Delivery

The candidate should have strong knowledge and practical experience in Agile delivery models.

• Sprint planning and execution
• Backlog refinement
• Release planning
• Agile metrics and reporting
• Continuous improvement
• Sprint goal tracking
• Agile team collaboration
• Delivery predictability improvement

3.3 Scrum Master Responsibilities

The candidate should be able to perform Scrum Master responsibilities effectively across one or more teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies
• Remove team impediments
• Coach teams on Agile best practices
• Improve team velocity and predictability
• Drive Agile maturity
• Support Product Owner in backlog management
• Ensure adherence to Agile principles
• Encourage self-organizing team behaviour

3.4 Stakeholder Management

The candidate must be skilled in managing business, technology, and leadership stakeholders.

• Client relationship management

• Stakeholder expectation management
• Communication planning
• Status reporting and governance meetings

3.5 Project Delivery

The candidate should have strong project delivery experience across scope, schedule, quality, and resources.

• Scope management

• RAID management
• Change management
• Quality assurance oversight
• Release coordination
• Delivery tracking
• Resource allocation
• Dependency tracking
• Delivery risk mitigation
• Project governance and compliance

3.6 Tools

The candidate should have hands-on experience with Agile and collaboration tools.

Experience with:

• Azure DevOps - preferred

• Jira

• Confluence

• Dashboards and reporting tools

• Agile boards

• Sprint and backlog tracking tools

3.6 Metrics & Reporting

The candidate should be able to define, track, and report Agile delivery metrics.

Required experience includes:

• Sprint metrics

• Velocity tracking

• Burndown and burnup charts

• Delivery KPIs

• Release readiness

• Team capacity planning

• Executive dashboards

• Program health reporting

• Dependency and risk dashboards

• Predictability and throughput tracking
