Sacristin Job Summary:
The Sacristan performs duties which are concerned with the care and upkeep of the Main Chapel and Sacristies. Prepare the chapel for Liturgy and for para-liturgical functions. Assures the availability of the Chapel to patients, visitors, staff and FMM Sisters.
Sacristin Responsibilities:
- Setting up for Liturgies
- Caring for altar linens and vestments by changing and launders them as needed
- Maintains vigilance over maintenance and housekeeping of Chapel Sacristies
- Assists with distribution of the Eucharist as needed
- Changes holy water fonts on a weekly basis
- Post schedules for Masses
- Keep inventory of supplies and reorders
- Takes care of flowers for altar and other duties as required
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
Posted Salary Range
USD $18.82 - USD $20.63 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
