Junior Cost AccountantSomerville, NJ, US On-site Vaco $USD 80000 - 95000 Direct Hire Our client, a global leader in industrial packaging and container manufacturing, is seeking a Junior Cost Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting or finance professional with 2–6 years of experience who is looking to build a career in manufacturing finance and cost accounting. In this role, you'll work closely with plant operations and finance leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, identify process improvements, and support operational decision-making within a world-class manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Analyze manufacturing, labor, inventory, and production costsInvestigate cost variances and assist with root cause analysisPrepare recurring and ad hoc cost analysis reportsSupport month-end close activities related to inventory and cost accountingEstimate product costs for both existing and new productsMonitor changes in production processes and evaluate financial impactAssist with inventory analysis, standard costing, and cost forecastingPartner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunitiesParticipate in financial audits and support internal controlsPerform additional financial analysis and special projects as assignedQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2–6 years of accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis experienceManufacturing experience strongly preferredExperience with SAP S/4HANA preferredAdvanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysisStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentThis is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, global manufacturing organization that offers exposure to plant operations, cross-functional collaboration, and long-term career growth in cost accounting and manufacturing finance.
