Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is the state’s largest hunger relief organization and one of the leading food banks in the Feeding America Network. In additional to vital hunger relief programs in our 21-county service area, we also operate Fresh Connect Central, a regional produce cooperative for Feeding America, serve as a contract reclamation site for Kroger Central Division, and are a staging site for FEMA disaster response. This is a remote position available to candidates who will reside and work in the following states: Position Purpose of Engagement Manager : As part of the marketing and communications team, the Digital Content Specialist will assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies across all digital channels to meet organizational needs. We are looking for a creative self-starter who stays ahead of digital trends and is not afraid to pivot as needed, to better reach intended audiences. This individual will lead storytelling efforts for Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, including shooting and editing videos and photos to be used in marketing and fundraising materials. The Digital Content Specialist will also own the day-to-day management of all organic social media channels for the food bank. This includes planning, scheduling, posting, and analyzing content. This position will collaborate with the Creative Services Specialist to maintain brand standards and reports to the Director of Marketing. ~ Essential Functions of Engagement Manager : Collaborate with marketing, fundraising, and senior leadership teams to create engaging content that aligns with brand. Ensure content is optimized for each platform. Work with Director of Marketing to execute digital marketing strategies, maintaining editorial calendars for Gleaners. Actively engage with audiences on all platforms, responding to messages and comments in a timely manner and escalating any questions or issues as necessary. Manage time-sensitive content, ensuring timeliness of urgent posts. Shoot and edit photo and video content within brand parameters and style. Manage collection of storytelling assets such as photos, videos, and blog posts. Oversee the filing of such assets in a centralized story bank. Assist with email marketing efforts, including maintaining monthly e-newsletter, using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Help with website management for Gleaners and as needed. Monitor social media engagement and work with outside digital marketing partners to optimize content strategy. Work with the development team to create online fundraising campaign pages as needed. Capture and create engaging photos and videos at events(external/staff), meetings, and organizational activities, including coordinating and conducting professional employee headshots. Stay on top of trends and identify timely opportunities for our brand. Education and/or Experience of Engagement Manager :

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in marketing, communications or related field.
• 2+ years of social media management experience for a brand or organization preferred.
• Must have a strong understanding of the social media space, social communities, and trends.

Other Relevant Skills and Abilities of the Engagement Manager :

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging to various platforms and target audiences.
• Proficiency with social media management platforms such as Meta Business Suite and others.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with Salesforce marketing tools a plus.
• Fundamental content creation skills in social media writing, photo editing, and video editing.
• Ability to manage a deadline-driven work environment, responding quickly and professionally to competing priorities.
• Capacity to work well, build rapport, and make a persuasive case for support with diverse constituent groups, both internally and externally.
