Job Description Field Auto Appraiser – you will be at the forefront of our claims process, meeting customers where they are, whether it’s at their home, a repair shop, or a tow yard. Your role includes writing estimates, guiding customers through the repair or total loss process, and using a mix of in‑person visits, virtual inspections, and written communication. You will evaluate damage on site, collaborate with body shops and service providers, and maintain detailed, accurate records of each case in our claims system. Sign‑On Bonus A $5,000 sign‑on bonus may be offered to qualified candidates who receive and accept an employment offer. Eligibility, payment timing, and conditions will be outlined in the official offer letter. Preferred Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell. High School Diploma or GED. Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to write precise and comprehensive estimates. Comfortable with utilizing technology and various platforms for claims processing. Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments effectively. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements. Responsibilities Meet customers where they are, including at homes, repair shops, or tow yards. Write estimates and guide customers through the repair or total loss process using in‑person visits, virtual inspections, and written communication. Evaluate damage on‑site and collaborate with body shops and service providers. Employ empathy, clear communication, and partnership throughout each Casualty claim. Conduct independent investigations of casualty claims, perform detailed reviews of damage, and interpret policies to determine coverage. Communicate with customers via phone, email, or video chat to assist them through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. Negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third‑party carriers, and claimants in accordance with legal and business standard methodologies. Use multiple tools—estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms—to handle complex situations efficiently. Maintain clear, timely records of each case in the claims system. Work Location This role is field‑based and requires the candidate to be located in Rhode Island or Massachusetts. Company Vehicle Based on company car guidelines, this role may qualify for a company car. Until mileage thresholds are met, a personal vehicle may be required, with mileage reimbursement available during work. Two weeks of in‑person training will be held in Dallas, TX. Licensing Requirement Adjuster’s license required in multiple markets; Appraiser’s license required in RI. License and continuing education must be obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
