Front Office - Night Audit

Position: Night Auditor Location: AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix Tempe/Downtown, 100 East Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, Arizona, United States of America Job Description The Night Auditor creates a positive experience for all guests by delivering professional and pleasant service. They are responsible for ensuring that the check‑in and check‑out processes are smooth and efficient, and they also perform other front‑office responsibilities such as checking figures, postings, and documents for accuracy, recording, storing, accessing, and analyzing computerized financial information, controlling and securing cash and cash equivalents according to policy, organizing and maintaining all files and records in accordance with retention and confidentiality policies, preparing and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports, and auditing and reconciling all revenue postings. What You Will Accomplish Greet all guests with a warm welcome, follow AC Marriott brand standards, and provide positive, impactful customer interactions that create rapport with guests and internal colleagues. Check guests in and out of rooms and assign rooms to guests. Answer telephones, take messages when needed, and communicate with the Front Office Manager and team through detailed pass‑on. Make, confirm, or cancel guest reservations. Assist guests when taxi services are requested. Compute bills and collect payment for guests. Replenish office supplies in the front and back office and restock AC Store merchandise. Assist Night Audit team members with posting and balancing of shift work. Perform Night Audit functions as scheduled for a smooth transition of systems. Attend all meetings as requested or assigned. Complete special projects assigned by management. What You Will Bring Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays. Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the hotel. Must be able to stand for an 8‑hour shift. Ability to work semi‑independently without direct supervision by following all AC Hotel Tempe standards. Intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel required. Ability to work under minimal supervision. Read, write and speak English fluently. Must be able to count cash and make change in USD. Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates. Great If You Have Hotel experience preferred. High School Diploma/GED. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, push or pull, hear and talk, walk, climb stairs, stand, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, smell, grasp, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include near vision; occasionally close and far vision are required. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
