SUMMARY

Responsible for the efficient and safe delivery of products and supplies to assigned packaging machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

(Include, but are not limited to):

• Reads and follows daily production instructions.
• Gathers, stages, and delivers to the machine product and supplies (film, boxes, etc) as needed to support the Operators in efficiently completing scheduled orders.
• Inspects all related equipment and reports potential problems to maintenance and/or the supervisor.
• Replaces film rolls as required.

Cleans machine and area as required for efficient operation and sanitation

• HS Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in multiple units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to complete certification to operate powered pallet jacks and RF scanners.
• Must be able to safely move and manipulate heavy objects such as film rolls.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to complete certification to operate powered pallet jacks and RF scanners.
• Must be able to safely move and manipulate heavy objects such as film rolls.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in multiple units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS :


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, feel and lift; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employee must wear proper safety equipment.
