Livestock Manager

Pingel Farms is hiring a Livestock Manager in Aurelia, IA (about 60 miles northeast of Sioux City). In this role you will be overseeing daily operations of our livestock enterprises. This may include managing a hog nursery, swine finisher site, or cattle facility, depending on experience and operational needs.

We are a family-owned agriculture operation located in Northwest Iowa, dedicated to producing high-quality crops and livestock. Our farm spans 1,800 acres of corn and soybeans and manages a 17,000-head wean-to-finish swine operation supported by an on-farm feed mill. We also operate an 850-head beef feedlot, making us a diverse and highly active livestock and crop operation. We value a strong work ethic and appreciate the time and effort our employees invest.

What you will be doing:

• Oversee daily management of a designated livestock unit (swine nursery, hog finisher, or beef cattle).
• Maintain animal health, care, and performance, following best practices in livestock and swine production.
• Monitor feed systems, assist with herd movements, and maintain accurate livestock records.
• Assist in all farm areas as needed, including grain farming operations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe farm operation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and biosecure facilities.

This job is for you if you have:

• Basic experience in hog (swine) or cattle production is preferred.
• Willing to train the right candidate with no livestock experience.
• Basic agriculture background is preferred.
• Organized and reliable.
