Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager is responsible for leading the FOH and BOH operations of the Cafe. The AM will spend significant time performing & assisting with managerial duties, as well as some back of house cooking functions. Key responsibilities include managing, training and disciplining cafe crew members. The AM is responsible for ensuring excellent guest experience, the safety of our guests, team members and property, and product quality. The AM must operate within brand standards.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Maintains & exceeds customer expectations to build brand loyalty.
• Presents a consistent, professional image of the café & crew by maintaining all sanitation & appearance standards.
• Communicates & stays updated on all marketing & promotional materials.
• Executes marketing & sales programs, following appropriate guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1 years of managerial experience.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, training & developing employees.
• Experience in providing excellent customer service.
• Flexible hours that can include evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence in both front of the house & back of the house.
• Must have a proven track record of managing cost of goods & labor.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Effective verbal & written communication skills.
