You will be responsible for leading the Operations teams within our plant and have the availability to support off shift production as required. The Production Manager will be our on-site manufacturing operations expert with knowledge and ability to guide and train operators on the production floor. Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a make-to-order manufacturing environment required. What you’ll do:Design, develop and implement the Atkore Business System, Lean Daily Management and Strategy Deployment Process.Drive Atkore’s Lean Excellence strategy. Operational leadership, resulting in successful safe work environment, exceptional quality and delivery performance with lower lead times and less inventory, and at lower operating costs (SQDC).Develop and coach team members with necessary skills to identify problems and challenges, perform root cause analyses and implement countermeasures, standard work and solutions as necessary.Develop and manage supervisors and associates in the value stream, including performance assessment, attendance management, professional development, etc.Develop and implement cross training activities to ensure proper function of the work cells and maximize team’s potential.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.What you’ll bring:Bachelor’s degree in engineering/operations management preferred or equivalent combination of work experience.Seven to ten years of management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity.Strong Lean manufacturing background and the passion to grow your lean experience. Proven track record of Lean accomplishments as well as cost out and process improvements. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
