Shop Technician

Shop TechnicianThe Shop Technician inspects, maintains, and repairs pumps. This role requires hands-on technical expertise to diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and complete repairs while adhering to safety standards. By working closely with the team, the Shop Technician helps ensure timely service and high customer satisfaction. We are willing and able to train someone, we do need you to have prior tool knowledge.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure a high level of customer service is always providedMove, position, and secure power equipment and machinery weighing up to 75 pounds for inspection, testing, and repair, with or without reasonable accommodationPerform shop-based service work for power equipment, including disassembly, cleaning, repair, reassembly, and functional testingComplete detailed mechanical and electrical assemblies in accordance with manufacturer service manualsAccurately complete complex repair procedures in a fast-paced, noisy, and shared shop environmentMay provide assistance with the setup of new customer equipmentMay assist in the loading/unloading of product onto trucksTimely completion of assigned training and continuing education modules to stay current with manufacturer updates and bulletinsSafely operate and maintain power tools, air tools, and diagnostic equipment following established safety proceduresEvaluation finished work to make sure that the services asked for have been completed, to the customers' expectationsAdaptability on projects from basic product needs to customer/specialized requestsMaintain a clean and orderly workspace and assist with overall shop organizationPerform other various duties, as outlined by supervisorExude, understand, and demonstrate actions according to the Company's core values. These core values are courage, commitment, collaboration, compassion, ownership, and optimismQualifications and Physical Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentProven experience as a technician or mechanic in a workshop or industrial settingBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprintsAbility to stand, sit, bend, and work around power equipmentAbility to lift heavy objects (75lbs) repeatedlyAbility to safely operate power tools, air tools, and diagnostic equipmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailFamiliarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in an industrial environmentOSHA regulated Steel Toe Shoes: Either an ASTM F243 M/I/50/C/50 or ANSI Z41 PT M/I/50/50.
