Senior Accountant - Construction Industry

Job Description Job Description Position Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for all activities necessary to accurately and effectively process accounts payable and receivable. This is a hands-on position that reports to the Controller. Construction industry experience is STRONGLY PREFERRED . Responsibilities include: Manage the construction accounting software (Foundation) Set-up new jobs in Foundation Process Accounts Receivable Billings Process Cash Receipts and the collection of the payments Process and Post Journal Entries including the intercompany transfers between co-owned businesses Reconcile monthly bank statements Maintain and process credit card expenses and statements for payment Complete compliance and tax reporting such as IFTA, Fuel, etc. Maintain and manage the company’s heavy equipment assets Monitor and collect property rents and ensure real estate taxes are paid Monitor and manage insurance claims Accounts payable check processing Maintain balances in General Ledger Provide credit information for credit applications and maintain records Back up for AP/HR position Assist the Controller, as needed, with misc. projects within the department Qualifications: Demonstrated construction accounting experience STRONGLY PREFERRED Intermediate proficiency with Excel (required) Experience with construction-specific software (Preferred: Foundation and HCSS\HeavyJob) Ability to work under deadlines Attention to detail Our EOE company participates in the e-Verify program, background checks and random drug testing Company Description A.
