As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Governance in Coral Gables, FL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and entry requirements in accordance with established procedures for a government location.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records and communicate access-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, public areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
