As a Dispatch Officer at a government location, you will coordinate communications, monitor alarm and access control systems, document incidents, and direct responses to security-related concerns. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a public cultural location. Monitor and coordinate communications through dispatch systems, including receiving calls, documenting incidents, relaying information to appropriate personnel, and maintaining accurate activity logs. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification procedures. Monitor cameras, alarms, access points, and other security-related systems; report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas, galleries, offices, loading areas, and perimeter locations, while providing a professional presence to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age. A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
