Medical Assistant - EndocrinologyA Medical Assistant provides quality patient care by assisting the physician with clinic specific tasks, including rooming, vitals, injections, and point of care testing and treatment. The Medical Assistant follows Madison Medical specific standards of practice, policies and procedures. This full time position reports to the Clinic Supervisor/Regional Director of Operations, with standard shifts Monday thru Thursday 7:45am-4:15pm, and Fridays 8:30am-5:00pm.What You'll Do:Escorts patients to exam room as scheduled, completes brief history through appropriate documentation, and obtains accurate vital signs.Stays current on electronic health records (EHR) changes and ensures appropriate and effective documentation in patient records.Ensures excellent and timely care for patients – manages phone calls and messages efficiently, checks EHR and email regularly.Organizes and prepares exam rooms and maintains a clean, safe, and well stocked environment.Administers routine medications, including: immunizations, antibiotics, pain medications, vitamins and topical agents.Provides basic patient education.Refills medications or obtains prior authorizations according to MD protocols or as directed by physicianSchedules appointments as needed.Key Qualifications & Characteristics:High School Diploma or GEDGraduate of accredited Medical Assistant program, or military equivalent, or demonstrated skills in capacity for at least one yearCurrent Medical Assistant certification preferred but not requiredCurrent CPR certificationStrong data entry skills and ability to work with computer applicationsOrganized with a strong attention to detail in a fast paced environmentStrong and comfortable communicating with patients, peers, and physiciansDemonstrated ability to work well both independently and with co-workers in a teamDrive to provide excellent patient service and care in an environment with significant and frequent opportunities to effectively resolve problems and conflict situationsPerks & Benefits of Madison Medical:Competitive PTO planHealth insurance, vision, & dental401K employer contributionLife Insurance and voluntary disability insuranceMonday through Friday clinic hours, no weekends, no holidaysOpportunity to be a part of Milwaukee's Premier medical practice
