We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve.**Job Description:**## Job descriptionPrivate Hematology/Oncology practice seeking an experienced RN with oncology experience to work in our outpatient infusion center in San Diego, California on a per diem basis. We are a 9-physician group that offers a full range of oncology services in an atmosphere that is friendly, cooperative, and professional. You will be a valued part of the cancer care team, providing daily support to patients undergoing treatment and collaborating with treating physicians.**Responsibilities include:**- Assessment of patients with complex diagnoses and treatment plans- Providing vascular access for medication administration either through PIV or CAD- Administering chemotherapy and supportive medications- Educating patients and families on medications and assisting with side effect management**Shift:**- 8 hour shifts, as needed, Monday - Friday**Setting:**- 20 chair outpatient infusion center **Qualifications:**- Current California RN License- Current BLS certification- Experience in Oncology required- Excellent IV skills- ONS certification is required within 6 months of hire- OCN preferred- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Familiarity with computerized medical records- Reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate- Able to work well as part of a teamPay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hourPhysical Setting:* Clinic* OutpatientLicense/Certification:* CA RN License (Required)Work Location: In personMedical Oncology Associates of San Diego (MOASD) offers a complete range of oncology services in an atmosphere of professionalism, encouragement and understanding.
