Work Environment

This position is situated within a home care environment, offering greater flexibility to deliver patient services directly in their homes. Our therapists are encouraged to develop their own schedules, selecting hours that best suit their needs and the needs of their patients, operating from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to ascertain their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions, tailoring evidence-based treatment plans that address individual patient needs.
• Instruct patients on therapeutic exercise techniques, ensuring they can perform these exercises safely and effectively.
• Administer stimulation, massage, or other therapeutic modalities to promote healing and recovery.
• Guide patients in the usage of assistive devices such as wheelchairs and walkers, enhancing their mobility and independence.
• Keep detailed patient records, documenting progress, setting goals, and adapting plans as necessary.
• Offer guidance to patients and their families on in-home treatment options and exercises to support rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base is diverse, including children, adults, and seniors with a variety of physical challenges. You will work closely with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic illnesses, or mobility issues, helping them regain their strength and function. By providing personalized care and education, you will play a vital role in improving their quality of life and promoting their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid physical therapy license in the state of California.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Proficient in word processing and computer applications necessary for documentation and patient records.
• Able to adapt flexibly to various patient needs and treatment settings.

Preferred Experience

• Experience of at least 2 years in physical therapy practice is preferred, particularly in a home care setting.

Compensation and Benefits
