Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team at our skilled nursing facility in Burnsville, NC. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in our adult and geriatric residents. Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess residents for speech, language, communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve function and quality of life.

• Provide therapy to residents in accordance with federal, state, and facility guidelines.

• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and rehabilitation staff to ensure comprehensive resident care.

• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and strategies to support communication and swallowing needs.

• Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary team discussions.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

• Current North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility).

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; CFY considered.

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferred, but not required.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday (with occasional weekend rotation as needed).
