Ideal candidate will be located in Tempe, Arizona but there is geographic flexibility for well-qualified candidates located near a Jacobs US office.The role requires deep expertise in electrical engineering with working knowledge of related fields, applying best practices and business insight to improve engineering deliverables. The position involves independently solving complex problems, taking new perspectives on established solutions, and serving as a technical resource to less-experienced colleagues. Responsibilities may include leading small projects or areas within a larger project, owning schedules and technical quality for assigned tasks, and proactively managing scope, budget, and design changes. The role also supports coordination across disciplines, client interaction, and potential on-site/start-up assistance, contributing to the production of detailed electrical engineering deliverables such as installation details, wiring diagrams, layouts, schedules, and power, lighting, and grounding plans.Bring your curiosity, talent for multi-tasking and collaboration, and extreme organizational skills and we'll help you grow, pursue and fulfill what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.Here's what you'll need:Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical EngineeringAt least 6 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systemsSolid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standardsExtensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.Experience with power system modeling software, preferably ETAPEffective verbal and written communication skillsIdeally, you'll also have:Professional Engineer (PE) licenseElectrical design experience for semiconductor or mission critical facilitiesTeam lead experienceWorking knowledge of Revit or BIM softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsForward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideasDisplayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge baseAbility to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teamsPassionate about buildings and constructionPosted Salary Range: Minimum $123,600.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper $187,000.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
