About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience License: Valid state or multi-state/compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: This position requires a Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse. The shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Every other weekend is required. On-call is rare and only required for the first four hours if needed. Floating to meet facility needs may be required. Candidates with at least 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience are preferred. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Applicants should also have NIHSS certification preferred. Specific skills required include managing ports, cardiac telemetry, and interpreting dysrhythmias. Applicants must demonstrate competence in telemetry monitoring and post-cardiac procedures. Willingness to accommodate block scheduling is contingent upon managerial approval. Local candidates may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. All requests for time off must be included at the time of application. Candidates should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates must complete all compliance requirements promptly to meet the proposed start date. SSN is required for submission. Travelers should be informed of the local candidate priority policy. This position requires that previous staff members be separated from the system for one year before returning as travelers. Candidates should possess proof of their SC license or confirmation of the completion process if the license is pending.
