Job Summary and Qualifications

A Paramedic ED assesses patients, administers advanced life support treatments, and collaborates with physicians and nursing staff to deliver critical care in the emergency room or during interfacility transport

Qualifications & Requirements 

• Licensure: Current State of Florida Paramedic License (or National Registry/NRP depending on specific facility) 

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), alongside Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (usually required within 30 to 90 days of hire).

• Experience: High school diploma or GED/vocational school graduate, with 1 to 2+ years of field or clinical hospital experience preferred

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 380-bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery.
