Responsibilities

• Operate rewind machines to wind finished cable onto appropriate spools following the extrusion and coating process.
• Load and unload large cable spools safely and efficiently using proper techniques and tools.
• Monitor line speed, tension, and alignment to ensure proper winding and prevent product defects.
• Inspect cable and finished product for defects and verify that all quality standards and specifications are met.
• Make basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency and product consistency.
• Follow daily production schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet output and throughput requirements.
• Accurately label, document, and prepare finished products for the next stage of production or shipment.
• Use hand and power tools as needed to support machine operation and material handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address production issues and improve processes.
• Handle large spools and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus on quality and safety.

Responsabilidades

• Operación de rebobinadoras — Operar máquinas rebobinadoras para enrollar el cable terminado en carretes apropiados después del proceso de extrusión y recubrimiento.
• Carga y descarga de carretes — Cargar y descargar carretes grandes de cable de manera segura y eficiente utilizando técnicas y herramientas adecuadas.
• Monitoreo de línea — Supervisar la velocidad de la línea, la tensión y la alineación para asegurar un bobinado adecuado y evitar defectos en el producto.
• Inspección de calidad — Inspeccionar el cable y el producto terminado para detectar defectos y verificar que se cumplan todos los estándares y especificaciones de calidad.
• Ajustes básicos de máquina — Realizar ajustes básicos en la máquina según sea necesario para mantener la eficiencia de producción y la consistencia del producto.
• Cumplimiento del programa de producción — Seguir los programas de producción diarios, priorizar tareas y cumplir con los requisitos de producción y rendimiento.
• Etiquetado y documentación — Etiquetar, documentar y preparar con precisión los productos terminados para la siguiente etapa de producción o envío.
• Uso de herramientas manuales y eléctricas — Utilizar herramientas manuales y eléctricas según sea necesario para apoyar la operación de la máquina y el manejo de materiales.
• Mantenimiento del área de trabajo — Mantener un área de trabajo limpia, organizada y segura de acuerdo con los estándares de la instalación.
• Colaboración en equipo — Colaborar con compañeros de equipo y supervisores para resolver problemas de producción y mejorar los procesos.
• Manipulación de carretes grandes — Manipular carretes grandes y realizar tareas repetitivas manteniendo el enfoque en la calidad y la seguridad.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
