Job Description UW Medical Center-Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Per Diem Registered Nurse in its Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Work Schedule Per diem schedule with varying hours each week Must be available to work 12‑hour shifts Must be available to work day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Must be available to work weekend shifts Must be available to work at least 4 shifts each 4‑week period About Our ICU We are a general medical ICU offering cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and post‑surgical monitoring. 15 individual patient rooms Consistently hold a 1:2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio RNs work in close partnership with intensivists, physicians, and certified nursing assistants Position Highlights Provide life‑saving care to patients Join a close‑knit ICU that values camaraderie and collaboration Primary Job Responsibilities Work alongside physicians, intensivists, social workers, and care managers Follow evidence‑based nursing practices Provide bedside care for critically ill patients, including those admitted for septic shock, post‑cardiac arrest, acute respiratory failure, and strokes Monitor and administer medications and IVs Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect Requirements 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience BLS certification ACLS certification Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State Compensation & Benefits Pay Range Minimum: $45.59 hourly Pay Range Maximum: $83.64 hourly BSN (or higher) premium – $1.00/hour Certification premium – $1.25/hour Night premium – $5.00/hour Weekend premium – $4.00/hour Sunday night premium – $3.00/hour Overtime pay available Benefits: For information about benefits for this position, visit Shift Alternate Work Shift (United States of America) Position Type This is a temporary position.
