Summary:
Seeking an experienced Capture Manager to lead proposal and quoting activities across the full lifecycle from early opportunity shaping through final submission. This role ensures proposals are compliant, competitive, and delivered on time while supporting CRM tracking and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Reports to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Capture & Proposal Strategy
- Partner with leadership to define win strategy, staffing, and execution plans
- Develop proposal schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans
- Lead development of proposals, pricing, and supporting documentation
Team Leadership
- Manage cross-functional proposal teams (engineering, pricing, contracts, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and internal processes
- Oversee workload and ensure on-time, high-quality submissions
Process Improvement & Performance
- Standardize processes for RFI, RFQ, RFP, and ROM responses
- Track and manage opportunities through CRM systems
- Drive continuous improvement, win strategies, and performance metrics
- Report KPIs and support leadership decision-making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- 8–10+ years of proposal/capture management experience
- Experience with government or commercial proposals (FAR/DFARS preferred)
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and proposal tools
